After fingerprints and mug shots were taken we made our escape from Orlando down the 528 turnpike across the Indian River and the Banana River to Cocoa Beach for the night after a mind bending day of travel.

Cocoa Beach has a distinctive Latino flavour that is laid back and friendly. The dark side is the architectural mess of concrete buildings apart from the occasional clapper board house sandwiched between ugly hotels and drive ins. In need of some R&R we decided on a stroll along Cocoa Beach the surfing capital of Florida. We were surprised by the amount of exotic and tame species of wild birds hanging around the beach, what a buzz.
