Key West is best described as a full on party town, this most popular cultural pursuit is of course  alcohol fuelled.  The award for best bar in the US according to Playboy and Vogue magazine goes to the Green Parrot.  It’s impossible describe the atmosphere in this mad house of an evening, but heaving with party people seems to sum it up. Their claim to fame being that it is the oldest bar in Key West dating from 1890.

A morning stroll around the docks revealed a carbon fibre replica of the schooner ‘America’, winner of the 1851 America’s Cup. However the unexpected  event of the morning had to be a manatee coming to say hello.
